SALARY:

SUMMARY:

The Planning & Financial Analyst II is responsible for preparing operational and financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and other ad hoc analysis and reports as requested by management.

  • Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement.
  • Provide statistical and analytical support in the development, implementation and evaluation of all operational department programs, to include the annual budgeting process.
  • Provide analysis of labor and key business indicators and provide recommendations for efficiency.
  • Establish a database of relevant financial information for use in projections and forecasts.
  • Develops and improves financial forecast models to meet property and department needs.
  • Analyze both the profitability of customer data base and pro-formas of marketing programs and special events.
  • Make recommendations to management to improve profitability.
  • Prepare and maintain cash forecasts and compare to actual.
  • Monitor return on Capital Expenditure investments and compile relevant tracking spreadsheets.
  • Prepare operational and variance analysis of actual to budgeted financial results.
  • Prepares reports and analysis for compliance with debt covenants and other requirements of financing arrangements.
  • Upon request, research information for and possess ability to provide written and verbal presentations as required.
  • Coordinate work efforts with other employees and organizations in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Emphasize attention to detail, consistently multi-task, work effectively and react in a positive and productive manner.
  • Maintain positive working relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
  • Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required.
  • Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
  • Assist Senior Financial and Planning Analyst with any new analytical tool development and deployment within the business entity.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the training and development of any Junior Analyst staff as directed by the Senior Planning and Financial Analyst.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (MUST BE DOCUMENTED):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accounting or financial department dealing with audits, accounting, analytics, or revenue forecasting and budgets required.
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience training or supervising team members.
  • Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (must be comfortable with advanced level applications in Excel and Access plus data query tools); preferred experience in other computer applications includes Bally’s slot accounting system, Infinium, MMS and Kronos timekeeping (or similar industry applications).
  • Must be proficient in Visual Basic for Applications and SQL.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSES AND ANY ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must pass periodic random drug screens.
  • Must be able to pass background suitability investigation.
  • Must obtain a Tribal Gaming License.
  • Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses.
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.

They may be occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, bend, push, pull, twist, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and/or push, pull up to 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally required use repetitive movements to complete tasks. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee may be occasionally required to work in low light conditions, and may be exposed to loud noise for extended periods.

  • Multiple locations.
  • Some enterprises are open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week; therefore, you must be flexible to work any and all hours.
  • Must be available for emergency calls 24/7.
  • Must be available to work weekend and holidays.
  • Some enterprises are gaming facilities.
  • Some enterprises are not a smoke-free environment.
  • Surveillance cameras and audio equipment monitor the premises recording activity throughout most of the facilities on 24 hours per day, 7 days per week basis.
