General Manager of Tribal Operations
JOB SUMMARY
The Utility Manager will be responsible for oversight PBPN’s goal of improving energy efficiency and advancing network connectivity to the Nation by reducing both the amount of energy used and energy costs, as well as supplying the Nation with advanced broadband capabilities so the community can reap the benefits and the opportunities of quality connection. This position will play a large role in providing the Nation with the opportunity to further support its efforts to protect its environment and natural resources, ensuring a safe, healthful and productive environment for residents and visitors on the Nation’s lands, as well as for the next generation to come.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administers MCN training and development programs. Analyzes training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, or consultations with managers to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
- Designs and creates training manuals, online learning modules, and course materials using multimedia visual aids and other educational materials. Delivers training to employees using a variety of instructional techniques and training and development best practices.
- Conducts new hire orientation (onboarding) sessions and arranges on-the-job training for new hires. Evaluate instruction and effectiveness of training programs; provide recommendations for improvement; develop testing and evaluation procedures. Conducts or coordinates annual required training.
- Develops and maintains training matrix for all positions. Conducts or arranges ongoing technical training and personal development courses for staff. Assists in preparing a budget for the Training Division.
- Provides ongoing customer service and response to inquiries regarding training and development. Maintains knowledge of legal training requirements related to human resources. Ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Works closely with MCN Vendors on training programs. Analyzes and interprets data to create reports on a weekly/quarterly/as-needed basis in areas of responsibility. Maintains employee training files and other related records.
- Responsible for maintaining HIPPA compliance. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Experience managing self-perform work.
- Experience leading multiple project teams.
- Five-plus years of Engineering and Construction experience in Solar, Power Generation, Telecommunications or large Renewable Energy facilities.
- Five-plus years of managerial/project management experience.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Eight-plus years of managerial experience.
- Eight-plus years of project management experience in Telecommunications or Energy related fields.
