JOB TITLE: Behavioral Health Director

SALARY: $135,826 – 203,739
JOB SUMMARY
The Behavioral Health Director oversees the overall management, leadership, and performance of outpatient behavioral health services within the Cowlitz Indian Tribe. Adheres to HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participates in professional development and maintains required licensure and certification.
- Ensures areas of responsibility are appropriately staffed by hiring and retaining staff.
- Maintains compliance with requirements of regulatory agencies and funding sources.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Licensed to provide mental health services (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, PsyD) in Washington state.
- Experience working within American Indian and/or Alaska Native communities preferred.
- Knowledge of traditional form of government and tribal customs and traditions.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree in counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy.
- Ten years’ work experience providing behavioral health services is required.
- Five years of leadership experience.
