JOB SUMMARY

Accomplishes the Habitat Restoration, Stewardship, Wildlife, & other Natural Resources program strategic objectives by planning, organizing, and directing all functions required to operate and maintain activities, services, and department operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directs the development of strategic plans for the Habitat Restoration, Stewardship, and Wildlife programs.
  • Directs the establishment, implementation & communication of goals, objectives, and policies.
  • Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of traditional form of government and tribal customs and traditions.
  • Knowledge of department organization, functions, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of research methodologies and data analysis.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Resources, Biology, Ecology, or related field.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Six years progressive experience in working with natural resources or environmental management.
