JOB SUMMARY

Accomplishes the Human Resource strategic objectives by providing strategic planning, organization & supervision of all functions required to operate & maintain not only departmental activities & services but also ensuring tribal wide consistency.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to exercise independent judgement.
  • Hosts regular staff meetings to ensure communication among personnel.
  • Provides overall leadership, coaching and guidance to all levels of the leadership team.
  • Conducts internal audits of HR programs, policies and procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • SHRM, HRCI or Tribal Human Resource Professional (THRP) certification or ability to achieve within 6 months employment
  • A combination of relevant education and related work experience may be considered.
  • Experience working within American Indian and/or Alaska Native communities preferred.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Four years of management experience.
