JOB TITLE:  Mental Health Counselor

DEPARTMENT: HHS-Behavior

SUPERVISOR:

SALARY:  $32.92 – $46.08

JOB SUMMARY

This position will be filled by a person who is licensed to provide mental health services in Washington State.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attends meetings and participates in committees as requested by the Program Manager.
  • Participates in professional/cultural development activities.
  • Coordinates care of clients with the referral source, & family.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Maintains appropriate licensure.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge, competency, and skills necessary to meet the clinical needs
  • Documents therapy-related activities in accordance with established procedures

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • A master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy
  • Current Washington State Mental Health Counselor License, Marriage and Family Therapy License
  • Must have at least three years of experience working in a behavioral health setting
