SALARY: $51,771-$72,479
JOB SUMMARY
Provides technical guidance, analysis & assessment of wildlife, lands & habitat management for the conservation & protection of resources of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe. Honors & represents the mission, vision, values of CIT & of the Natural Resources.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processes beavers to be released into the wild; clean, feed, and water the beavers.
- Takes beavers to release sites to be relocated into the wild as requested.
- Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Obtain and maintain a beaver relocation permit.
- Knowledge of how beavers modify aquatic ecosystems.
- Ability to use traps, tagging equipment, hypodermic needles, syringes, capture bags.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, zoology, fisheries, wildlife, chemistry, natural sciences, or a closely related field.
- One year of related experience in natural resources or wildlife management.
- Obtain and maintain a Washington State Boater Education Card.
