Tribal Veterans Representative
DEPARTMENT: Tribal Members Services
SUPERVISOR: Tribal Member Services Navigator
SALARY: $22.63 – $29.42
JOB SUMMARY
Identifies, explains & promotes eligible government & tribal benefits available to armed services veterans, their spouses & dependents. Helps veterans make informed decisions & assists clients with gaining timely access to benefits and services.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
- Consults with other HHS programs and providers on client intakes and progress.
- Oversees paperwork to receive government death benefits for veterans including headstones.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of the CPS, ICW, family court systems, and legal advocacy.
- Knowledge of traditional form of government and tribal customs and traditions.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma/GED.
- A combination of relevant education and related work experience may be considered.
- Five years related experience.
