JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Budget/Fiscal management
- Planning, Directing, Monitoring
- Oversees Law Enforcement, Detention Center, and Communications/Dispatch
- Ensures efficient provision of law enforcement services
- Enforcement of tribal, federal, state law and ordinances
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- BA in a related field
- 10 years progressively responsible police experience
- 5 years in a command position at minimum rank of Lieutenant
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 years of grant management experience in Native American tribal government environment
- State of NM Law Enforcement Officer Certified
- BIA/OJS US Indian Police Academy Certified
- Must be 21 years of age & possess a valid state driver\’s license & be eligible for insurance
- Must pass background check
